Who is RemoFirst?

RemoFirst is a global Employer of Record (EOR) platform that helps companies hire employees across 185+ countries without the legal, financial, or logistical headaches of setting up foreign entities. They simplify international employment by managing payroll, compliance, taxes, and benefits, making it as seamless as hiring domestically. In a world where talent can be anywhere, RemoFirst helps businesses unlock the full potential of the global workforce.

Goal

The goal of RemoFirst's "Dark Ages of Employment" campaign was to raise awareness and educate companies that global hiring isn’t as complicated or risky as they might think. Many companies believe domestic hiring is their only option, fearing the red tape and legal complexities of international employment. RemoFirst wanted to challenge that mindset and show that hiring internationally is not only possible, it’s simple.

Our Strategy

Our discovery phase made one thing clear: the biggest barrier to global hiring isn’t competition from other EOR providers — it’s the outdated assumption that global hiring is too difficult. We leaned into this insight by taking viewers back to the literal Dark Ages, where employment decisions were ruled by outdated logic and arbitrary borders.

The strategy was simple: make companies realize that clinging to old hiring practices is as ridiculous as medieval employment policies. The message? Move on from “hiring like you’re still in the dark ages”. 

Our Process

As always, we kicked off with an in-depth dive into RemoFirst's product, audience, and market perceptions. We leveraged all the data from the discovery process to develop a campaign strategy that would highlight the most resonant paint points that the target audience feels day-to-day, and position RemoFirst at the solution. 

From there, we developed multiple creative concepts designed to punch through the noise. After presenting several options, the client selected "The Medieval Hiring Process" as the winning concept.

After writing the scripts, our next challenge was to find a damn-near _literal giant_ to play the muscular peasant who successfully pulls the sword of employment from the mythical stone of legend. 

The Video Brothers Secret Sauce

We produced a full ad suite for RemoFirst designed to guide prospects from initial awareness to action. Here’s how it broke down:

  • 15-second Teaser Ad: A quick snapshot of the absurd medieval hiring process to immediately hook top-of-funnel audiences.

  • 30-second Hero Ad: The full comedic narrative featuring sword-in-the-stone job interviews, international hiring panic, and kings trying to jam swords back into stones to avoid hiring “outside of the kingdom”. 

  • 15-second Follow-Up Ad: Highlights the ridiculous scarcity mindset of only hiring within borders, with a raccoon standing in for the lone domestic candidate.

  • 10-second Reminder Ads (x2): Quick visual gags to keep RemoFirst’s brand and logo fresh in the minds of the target audience until they’re ready to make a buying decision. 

Each asset was purpose-built for its stage in the funnel, maximizing cost-efficiency while building brand recall through humor and repetition.

What’s an “Ad Suite”?

An ad suite is a full funnel collection of creative assets built to engage audiences at every stage of their journey. For RemoFirst, this included teaser ads for cold audience capture, hero ads for deeper storytelling, follow-ups to reinforce messaging, and reminders to nudge high-intent prospects to take action. The result? Maximum brand impact with smart media spend.
