Head Of Production

Location

Denver (Hybrid)

Work Type

Full Time

Overview

Video Brothers is a full-service boutique ad agency that produces fun, comedy-first B2B commercials at a high clip. We do it with a productized service, heavy previs, repeatable systems, and a tech-forward workflow that keeps production calm and predictable.

Essentially, we help boring, complex companies become the coolest, sexiest player in their industry.

We’re hiring a Head of Production to own production execution — while improving the production machine over time.

Mission

Own production execution (pre-pro → shoot → wrap + handoff) so batches ship on time, sets stay calm (and fun!), and our systems get better every month.

Responsibilities

Pre-Production

  • Build and maintain batch schedules and pre-pro timelines

  • Track budgets within established guardrails

  • Coordinate lookbook/treatment deck

  • Coordinate storyboards/previs videos

  • Coordinate casting logistics (casting decks, sides, auditions, holds, bookings)

  • Coordinate locations (scouting support, agreements, permits/COI as needed)

  • Book crew/freelancers/vendors and manage expectations

  • Coordinate gear planning (internal + rentals when required)

  • Maintain production documentation (call sheets, production books, contact sheets, contingency plans)

Production

  • Lead the on-set schedule and execution (Producer + 1st AD-style leadership)

  • Keep set safe, calm, efficient, and aligned to plan

  • Solve problems fast without creating new ones

  • Coordinate departments so the director can direct

Post

  • Facilitate a clean handoff of organized media (video and photos), sound/camera/scripty reports, and any additional context to the Post department.

Systems & Improvement

  • Operate inside our Airtable-powered production OS and tool stack

  • Reduce manual busywork through better templates, automation, and responsible AI/tool usage

  • Partner with leadership to refine how we scale production

Work Model

  • Hybrid; must be based in the Denver metro area

  • Remote: 9–5 MT, flexible

  • Productions: Up to 5 days per month on site

Requirements

  • 3+ years at a production company/agency or equivalent production environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, logistics, and real shoots

  • Solid grasp of production and post workflows

  • Tech-forward, comfortable learning tools and working inside systems

  • Calm operator; high ownership; low ego

Tools & Software

  • Airtable (core), Shotlister/Shotput/Previs Pro, Google Workspace, Slack, MediaSilo, CloudSpot, Figma, and AI tools.

  • We use tech (and AI) to reduce manual work—not to reduce standards.

Bonus

  • Commercial comedy sensibility

  • Hands-on maker instincts (building/rigging/solving physical problems)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000 salary

  • Health, Vision, + Dental

  • 40 days PTO

  • Potential for annual raise and/or performance bonus

  • Parental leave

  • Professional development stipend
